I usually wear glasses. Should I wear them?

There is no reason that you should not wear them. They are apart of who you are. We will position your glasses and our lights to reduce glass glare. If you prefer to have no glasses that is alright too. This is your vision for your portraits. Know that we will not ask you to remove them. When being photographed you do want your glasses pushed all the way up on your nose so that the top of the glasses does not cut through your eyes for our perspective. How should I do my hair?

Wear your hair in a style that’s comfortable and reflects who you are. Trying out a new style? make sure that you do this a few times and have someone take a picture of you to ensure that your style photographs how you are envisioning. Sometimes you initial trials look good in the mirror but fall flat in the camera. Portrait day is not a good time to try a brand new hairstyle. Any ideas for props?

Bring in a prop that shows off who you are. Typical props include sports equipment and musical instruments. Get creative! Some students bring in a copy of their favorite book or small collections. If you have something in mind, don’t be shy, just bring it in. Feel free to bring multiple props to increase photo options (for example, if you are a football player, please bring helmet, pads and jerseys.) Tips for a Great Senior Portrait Session

Clothing: - Solid colors or simple or large patterns look best.
